Virid is, in a lot of ways, Leann's inspiration - where Coils is a symbol of her personal life and Queenie is an accoutrement of her newer presumptions, Virid's a good hint as to what Leann actually IS. There's a reason this journal is named colorchange, after all.

...symbolic bullshit aside!

She got Virid sometime after Coils evolved, and a looong time before she got Queenie, the newest addition. The story of how that happened is for another day - suffice to say, Leann's not usually the 'oh man there's a mon let's catch it' type.

Virid is Sassy natured and 'proud of its power' - she's a little ego-naut chameleon. It does not help that while she babies Coils and primps Queenie, Leann puts all her 'get shit done' trust in Virid. So she's an egomeleon who knows she can back it up.

Coils' hood gives a critical hint to Leann's identity - or at least to her homeland. Her first Pokemon, she found him as an Ekans in a shipping box in Slateport when he was very teeny - before he had any poison, even. She hid him in a shoe box and fed him store-bought eggs, and would wrap him 'round her arm under her sleeve to take him places before he grew too big for it to be feasible.

That's about when she decided to upgrade him from a shoe box to a pokeball. Note that she didn't have him in one before because - well, she was plain not very educated on Pokemon health and was afraid it might be too young to keep in a ball because aren't you supposed to be super careful with babies??


Characteristic: loves to eat, and has a lax nature - basically a huge spoiled fattie snake that Leann dotes on.
